A student from a Boston secondary school is getting set to lead the charge for a photo walk in Boston this weekend.

Patryk Majewski, a student at Haven High Acedemy, has joined forces with locally-based social artist and photograpgher Katie Smith to lead walk, which has been organised by the town’s Alchemy Project.

The event, which is the second to take place in the area, will go from Frampton Marsh on Saturday afternoon.

Patryk, who is passionate about nature photography, moved to Boston seven years ago from his native Poland. He is one of a number of people involved in the Alchemy Project, which aims to dispel myths and misunderstandings surrounding migration into the Boston area. The walks have been planned as a way to break down barriers between different communities in the area.

Joint walk leader Katie said: “He told me he enjoys the tranquillity of the town’s rural location and the friendliness of its residents.”

Everyone is welcome and people are encouraged to take a camera, even if just on a phone. Children under 14 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
