Summer fete raises Â£1,500-plus

The summer fete at Billingborough's Old Hall Nursing Home.

A summer fete at The Old Hall, in Billingborough, has raised more than Â£1,500 for the care home's residents fund.

The annual event was held last Saturday and included a raffle, a bottle tombola, games, cakes, and preserves.

This year, residents also made crafts to sell.

Strong winds meant the event had to be held inside, but it nevertheless proved to be a success.

Jessica Borrill, head of care, said: “It went really well. We managed to rase £1,570. We didn’t think we were going to raise as much because it was inside.”
