ENJOY a two-mile stroll through Boston’s attractive woodland and park and help to raise money for a dog rescue charity in the process.

A special sponsored walk and doggie-themed day called Take The Lead is being held at the end of May and participants are asked to apply for it now.

The two-mile walk will take place on May 30 from 10am, starting from Westgate lake and following a route around Westgate woods and onto Sir Joseph Banks Country Park.

The event is being held in aid of Doris Banham Dog Rescue, a national charity with branches around the UK.

Event organiser Toni Meeds said: “There will be dogs that need re-homing there for people who would like to join in with the walk but don’t have a dog,

“There will also be chance for people to micro-chip their pet, along with a raffle and a tombola.”

She added: “We are in desperate need for raffle donations from local businesses, so any help would be hugely appreciated.”
