Teenager seriously injured in rotovator accident


A teenager from Algarkirk has been airlifted to hospital after getting his leg caught up in the rotor blades of a garden rotovator.

The 18-year-old was using the machine on a garden in Roundalands when the accident happened shortly after 2pm yesterday.

Lincs Fire and Rescue attended to dismantle some of the machine so his leg could be freed.

He was subsequently taken to Queen Medical Centre in Nottingham by Air Ambulance where he is undergoing treatment.
