Three arrested for possessing drugs in Worksop town centre
Nottinghamshire Police officers, together with ‘Ross’ the passive drugs dog in tow, were out on Saturday night searching for traces of drugs use.
In total, seven people were arrested, with three found to have drugs on them.

Hide AdTwo people were taken to Worksop Police Station for an interview whilst one 17-year-old- boy was found with cannabis and MCAT on him. He was arrested and taken to Newark Police Station.
Sergeant Stephen Hunter, leading the operation, said: “The operation was aimed at reducing drug-related violence in the town centre to help ensure Worksop continues to be a safe environment for people to come and enjoy a night out.
“We received a great response from the people in the town centre Saturday and they were happy to see a visible presence on their streets tackling drug use.
“Following it’s sucess, Worksop Neighbourhood Policing Team will be looking to repeat the operation during December.
“This also sends a strong message to other users of illegal drugs, that we will find you and bring you to justice.”
