IT IS 100 years this week since the fated Titanic sank on its maiden voyage, taking with it more than 1,500 people into the sea as she went down.

At the time of the disaster the newspapers were filled with tragic tales of the loss, and now, a century later, some of these tales have sparked interesr in a charity shop in Boston.

Age UK on Church Lane received these newspaper clippings and several more as a donation recently, and they are now selling them on to raise money for the charity.

The pieces offer a valuable insight into the way in which the famous disaster was reported at the time.
