An air ambulance was called out to a teenage rider after she fell from her horse near Sleaford.

The Mid Anglia General Practitioner Accident Service (Magpas) helicopter was scrambled from Cambridgeshire to the incident yesterday (Sunday), initially reported to the ambulance service at 12.17pm after a girl in her teens suffered a fall from a horse in Swaton.

The Magpas team of a doctor and paramedic assessed the patient who had sustained injuries to her upper body.

A Magpas charity spokesman continued: “The girl was then taken to the Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, in a stable condition, by an East Midlands Ambulance Service paramedic crew.
