Lincolnshire County Council has announced that the right hand turn into Boston’s South End will close tonight (Monday) as part of planned roadworks.
Highways officials have made the changes to the plans because the traffic lights on John Adams Way will have to be switched off while planned works go ahead.
Boston High Street and South Square will be resurfaced tonight as planned, however, drivers will not be able to turn right from Haven Bridge into South End tonight between 7pm and 5am.
Access to the dock and properties on South End will still be possible by taking a diversion via Bargate Roundabout and John Adams Way.
Also, for a short period this evening, one lane will be closed on John Adams Way (A16) eastbound, at the junction with the High Street.
Currently, traffic is unable to turn right out of South End as part of a separate trial to ease traffic on John Adams Way.
