Lincolnshire County Council’s CallConnect bus service will celebrate Christmas this year with a special festive gift for bus users throughout Lincolnshire this November and December.
Following the success of last year’s ‘Love Sundays’ service, the demand-responsive CallConnect bus network will be operating a free Christmas Markets bus service to many of the county’s most popular market towns.
For the three Sundays leading up to Christmas (starting November 29) anyone can travel on the free ‘Love Sundays’ CallConnect bus service, enjoying a visit to one of the many festive markets throughout the county.
For more details of the ‘Love Sundays’ free bus service visit www.lincsinterconnect.com or www.wellandcallconnect.co.uk for the Stamford and Peterborough area.
CallConnect Manager Paul Sanders said: “December is one of the busiest months of the year for people, and we wanted to help our customers get into the Christmas spirit by helping them shop at their local seasonal fairs and markets, support the local economy and travel free of charge as well.”
The ‘Love Sundays’ CallConnect bus service offers a boost where a fixed-route bus service operates from Monday to Saturday, but where residents have no regular Sunday bus service.
Mr Sanders added: “We also want to encourage customers who use conventional timetabled bus services Monday to Saturday to use the special free CallConnect on these Christmas Sundays.”
