Long-term roadworks begin in Hubberts Bridge

A section of the B1192 in Hubberts Bridge has closed from today until November for resurfacing and drainage works.

The road, from the busy junction with the Boardsides to Frampton Fen Lane, and the footpath which runs alongside it, will be closed while improvements to kerbs and drains are carried out.

It will finish at the beginning of November, weather permitting, and will be carried out seven days-a-week.

Access will be provided from one end only for local residents and businesses.

Workers will be on-site until the works are completed to assist members of the public, and a signed diversion route will be in place.

Andy Wharff, area highways manager, said: “These works are part of our continued investment in the local road network. They’ll greatly improve the surface of the road and footpath, and will extend the lives of these by several years.”
