Man suffers serious head injuries in crash

A man suffered serious head injuries in a crash in Boston yesterday.

Emergency services were called to Punchbowl Lane, at 5.40pm after a grey Renault Clio left the road and entered a ditch.

The driver of the vehicle, a 23 year-old man from Lincoln, was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, suffering from severe head and abdominal injuries.

Police say he is currently in a critical but stable condition.

The front seat passenger was a 20-year-old man from Coningsby, who was taken to Pilgrim Hospital with less serious injuries.

The road was closed until 10.15pm.
