Resurfacing works taking place from today will see several roads closed off overnight in the Boston area.
Essential surface dressing works will take place at five locations on the A17 until Thursday, August 8, subject to weather conditions.
Work will take place between 8pm-6am at Long Sutton, Swineshead, Sutton Bridge, Fosdyke and Hoffleet Stow over 10 nights under temporary road closures as follows:
The A17 at Long Sutton will be closed from the B1190 roundabout to the A1101 roundabout between July 29-31, and on August 3 and 4.
The A17 at Swineshead will be closed from the A1211 to East Heckington on the same dates, expect for August 3 when it will be open.
The A17 at Sutton Bridge will be closed from the A1101 roundabout at Wisbech to Tydd Road between July 30 and August 1, 5 and 6.
The A17 at Fosdyke will be closed between Sutterton roundabout and Fosdyke village tonight, tomorrow (Thursday), and August 6 and 7.
A17 Hoffleet Stow will be closed between Bicker Bar and Wigtoft from tonight and on August 2, 3 and 7.
Tonight, only three sections of the A17 will be closed at one time - A17 Swineshead and Hoffleet Stow will not be closed at the same time.
Martyn Allen, network and development manager, said: “We appreciate that the A17 is a very busy road, so we will improve the road surface at these locations overnight simultaneously, to avoid us having to revisit the road in the near future and ensure that we cause the minimum amount of disruption to motorists that we can.”
Advance warning signs will be in place and diversion routes will be signposted throughout.
