Night time road works scheduled to take place on the A17 in the Boston borough will see parts of the road closed.
Temporary road closures will be put in place when the ‘essential surface dressing works’ egt underway overnight between Monday, July 29 and Thursday, August 8, subject to weather conditions.
Work will take place between 8pm-6am at Swineshead, Long Sutton, Sutton Bridge, Fosdyke and Hoffleet Stow over 10 nights.
They are as follows:
l The A17 at Swineshead will be closed from the A1211 to East Heckington on the dates, except August 3.
l The A17 at Fosdyke will be closed between Sutterton roundabout and Fosdyke village on July 31, August 1, 6 and 7.
l The A17 at Hoffleet Stow will be closed between Bicker Bar and Wigtoft on 31 July 31, and August 2, 3 and 7.
Parts of the road at Long Sutton and Sutton Bridge will also be closed for repairs.
l On Wednesday, July 31, only three sections of the A17 will be closed at one time. The A17 Swineshead and Hoffleet Stow will not be closed at the same time.
Martyn Allen, network and development manager for Lincolnshire County Council Highways said: “We appreciate that the A17 is a very busy road, so we will improve the road surface at these locations overnight simultaneously, to avoid us having to revisit the road in the near future and ensure that we cause the minimum amount of disruption to motorists that we can.”
Advance warning signs will be in place and diversion routes will be signposted throughout.
