Pedestrian hit by milk float is left with serious injuries

A WYBERTON man is being treated for serious head injuries after being involved in a collision with a milk float this morning.

Emergency services were called to Spalding Road, Boston, near the level crossing, at about 2.45am.

The 22-year-old was not initially thought to have serious injuries, but after being taken to Pilgrim Hospital it was discovered his head injury was more serious. He has now been transferred to Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham for surgery.

The road was closed and reponed shortly after 7am.
