There will be a series of road closures taking place across the area on this year’s Rememberance Sunday while parades take place.
The temporary road closures and traffic restrictions will be in place across Lincolnshire on Sunday 9 November for this year’s Remembrance Parades.
Executive councillor for highways and transportation at Lincolnshire County Council Coun Richard Davies said: “As with previous years Lincolnshire County Council has worked closely with organisers and the police to enable that the parades go ahead smoothly whilst minimising disruption to general highway users.”
The road closures are as follows:
○ Boston: Wide Bargate (north and south sides) and Bank Street will be closed as and when required during the day.
○ Coningsby: The A153 (between Wharfe Lane and High Street) will be closed from 10am–12.30pm. There will also be a suspension of the weight limit order on Hunters Lane during the road closure.
○ Kirton: Station Road, High Street and Willington Road will be closed from 10.30am –12.30pm.
A spokesman for the council said all local diversion routes and access arrangements will be clearly signposted.
