Ten-year-old cyclist escaped with ‘minor injuries’ after collision

A ten-year-old cyclist escaped with minor injuries after being involved in a collision with a car in Boston.

Police were called to the incident in Woodthorpe Avenue at about 4.45pm last Thursday (March 13).

A spokesman for the force said the cyclist, a 10-year-old boy, received ‘minor bruising’ as a result of the collision. He was taken to the town’s Pilgrim Hospital as a precaution, the spokesman added.

The collision left the road blocked. At about 5.30pm, though, the force’s Road Policing Unit posted a message on its Twitter account to say the road was clear, adding the incident had been ‘thankfully not too serious’.
