Town train station given safety credit

Boston train station is one of eight under East Midlands Trains to be given the thumbs-up for safety.

Spalding, Sleaford, Lincoln, Derby, Loughborough, Nottingham and Wellingborough were all reaccredited with the secure safety mark this month.

The national scheme is led by the British Transport Police, in conjunction with the Department for Transport. It recognises measures taken to improve station security and reassure passengers and staff that consistent efforts are being made to deter crime and anti-social behaviour.

As part of this, all stations were audited by the British Transport Police.
