Tributes paid to 'great man' who loved speedway and bikes, killed in crash near Boston

Tributes have been paid to a lover of speedway and bikes, killed in a crash near Boston yesterday.

The crash, which happened at 6.47am on Friday November 16 on the A1121 Boardsides, Hubberts Bridge involved a motorbike and a blue Mercedes.

Rod Woodhouse, the rider of the motorcycle, sadly died from his injuries.

Today, Saturday his family released a statement saying: "We would like to inform people of the tragic death of Rod Woodhouse.

"Rod loved his bikes and his Speedway, he was a great man and will be greatly missed by his wife Val, his daughter Claire and his wide circle of friends."

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw either a blue Mercedes or motorbike prior to the incident, or who have dashcam footage, to contact them.

A man has been arrested.
