TWO elderly women have died in a collision on the A52 at Donington, which left the road closed for almost seven hours.
An 82-year-old, from Billingborough, and an 83-year-old, from Stafford died at Pilgrim Hospital, after the Peugeot 106 they were travelling in collided with a blue VW Golf at around 9.10pm yesterday (Thursday).
The red Peugeot, which was being driven by the 82-year-old, was also carrying a 77-year-old woman from Billingborough, who suffered head and other injuries and is now in a serious condition in hospital.
The driver of the Golf - a 55-year-old Boston man - suffered head and back injuries and has been taken to Pilgrim Hospital.
