The motorcylist who died in Tuesday afternoon’s crash on the A52 at Donington was Michal Malinowski.
The 30-year-old lived in Aylestone Road, Leicester.
Wednesday, 9am: A motorcylist has died after colliding with a tractor on the A52 at Donington yesterday.
The emergency services were called to the crash just after 4pm yesterday. The incident involved a Ducatio motor cycle and a green Claas tractor.
The rider of the bike, a 30-year-old man from Leicester, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The tractor driver is said to have escaped serious injury.
The road was closed for several hours while police carried out an investigation of the scene.
Police want to here from anyone in the area who either saw the collision or spotted either of the vehicles before the incident occurred.

The man’s death brings the total number of people killed on Lincolnshire’s roads this year to 20 - the same number as this time last year.

The road has been closed at Donington and Bicker Bar roundabouts and police say it is likely to remain closed for some hours.
