Police have revealed the name of the Swineshead man who died in a collision on the A16 at Crowland earlier this week.
Keith Robert Tyler, of North End in the village, was killed when the Volkswagen Polo he was travelling collided head on with a Volvo on Tuesday evening. Despite receiving treatment from air ambulance Magpas and the East Midlands Ambulance Service, crews were unable to revive the 52-year-old.
A spokesman for Magpas said: “Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.”
The driver of the Polo, a 55-year-old man from Stickney, was taken to hospital to receive treatment for fractures.
A 39-year-old man from Donington, who was driving the Volvo, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has been released on police bail until January 11.
Nobody in that car received serious injures, but they were also taken to hospital. Full details of the passengers have not been confirmed, but two were men from Pinchbeck aged 17 and 37.
The road was closed until 5.30am on Wednesday.
