UPDATE: ‘Computers and documents’ seized during National Crime Agency raids

The National Crime Agency (NCA) seized a number of items, including computers and documents, during raids on two Boston premises yesterday (Wednesday).

As part of an ongoing operation into ‘money laundering’ in Boston yesterday, a NCA spokesman confirmed, officers had executed warrants in both Norfolk Street and St Nicholas Road areas of Boston.

They said: “During the operation a number of items including computers and documents were seized from both premises and these are now being examined.”

It is understood one of the premises was the European Car Service garage, but it is unknown at this time what the second premises was.

The investigation is continuing.

Wednesday, 10.36am – National Crime Agency officers are undertaking an operation at a unit on Norfolk Street Industrial Estate in Boston this morning.

A number of officers are currently at the European Car Service garage.

An NCA spokesman: “NCA officers have this morning (Wednesday 9 December) executed two search warrants at addresses in the Boston area as part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of money laundering. The searches are ongoing.”
