UPDATE: Girl (13) is ‘recovering well’ after serious collision in Holbeach


UPDATE: A police spokeswoman has today (Monday) confirmed that the teenager is recovering well in hospital.

PREVIOUS ARTICLE: Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a 13-year-old girl was hit by a car in Fleet Road, Holbeach, late yesterday evening (Friday).

At around 10.50pm, a black Toyota Yaris - driven by a 34-year-old man from Sutton Bridge - colliding with the teenager.

She was taken to Boston Pilgrim Hospital with serious injuries, and transferred to Queen’s Medical Centre at Nottingham for further treatment.

Anyone who was in the area around 10.50pm on Friday evening and saw either the black Toyota Yaris and the 13-year-old girl before the collision, or saw the collision itself, is asked to contact police on the witness hotline (01522 558855) or by calling 101 and quoting incident number 477 of July 15.
