UPDATE: Man arrested in connection with ‘arson’

A MAN has been arrested in connection with the arson on Ingelow Avenue yesterday (Monday), police have confirmed.

A 42-year-old local man was arrested at the house on charges of arson with intent to endanger life.

A police spokesman said the man had been detained for assesment.

No-one was injured in the attack which took place at 12.33pm, and which four crews attended.

Tuesday, 09.44am - A FIRE at a Boston house yesterday (Monday) was started deliberately, emergency services have confirmed.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said the fire on Ingelow Avenue was believed to have been arson.

He added fire and rescue services had left the house at 3.10pm and the incident had been passed to the police.

Four appliances attended the fire at the mid-terraced house at 12.33pm yesterday.

Tuesday, 09.18am - FIRE engines from Boston, Leverton and Donington attended a fire at a mid-terraced house in the town yesterday.

Rescue services were alerted to the fire on Ingelow Avenue at 12.33pm.

The fire caused severe damage to the living room, and smoke and heat caused severe damage to the remainder of the ground floor and the first floor of the house.

Four appliances attended the fire including two from Boston, one from Leverton and one from Donington.

The cause is yet to be confirmed.
