POLICE have confirmed the man who allegedly jumped from a window at Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital this morning (Tuesday) has now died.
Emergency services were called to the Sibsey Road site at about 8am after reports a patient had jumped from a fifth-storey window at the rear of the hospital.
The 40-year-old man landed on a flat roof adjoining the hospital.
He was treated at the hospital’s accident and emergency department but died of his injuries.
United Lincolnshire Hospital NHS Trust and police have now launched an investigation.
The man, from the Skegness area, has not yet been named.
A formal identification is due to take place later today.
