A fire crew was called out to a vehicle on fire on the A52 at Spanby earlier this morning (Wednesday).

The crew from Billingbrough attended the incident at 5.16am to put out a fire in the engine bay of the vehicle using a hose.

The bonnet insulation was badly damaged and the rest of the engine compartment was smoke damaged, according to the fire service report.
