The Boston Stump will be open for worship this Sunday.
Despite the 700-year-old iconic St Botolph’s suffering up to a foot of water flooding in through the doors, Rev Chris Wedge is adamant that it will be business as usual this weekend.
He also offered the Stump as a place for those affected to come and pray.
New sound equipment valued at more than £20,000 was damaged at the church.
But amazingly, one teddy bear managed to avoid getting wet.
Despite being swept away by the water, the child’s toy remained perched on his chair and eventually ended up being washed to the centre of the Stump.
