VIDEO: EU Referendum counting begins in Boston

All the votes have now been delivered to Boston’s Peter Paine Sports Centre, where counters are now verifying them.

The count is expected to last until 3-4am at which point the result will be announced.



The turn-out is expected to be announced shortly.

Boston Borough Council representatives have reported busy polling stations today, but said they were able to cope - they said no major incidents had occured.

BBC earlier tonight reported Boston as ‘the most likely to vote leave’.

Jeremy Vine has told the BBC that if Boston voted remain, their political editor would be ‘all over it’.

MP for Boston Matt Warman responded by Tweeting: “If Boston comes out for remain @theJeremyVine says @bbclaurak will be ‘all over it’. Always nice to be popular, but...”
