Crowds of families have been visiting the town’s Central Park today (Wednesday) for a visit to the seaside.
The beach day, funded by Boston Big Local and supported by the borough council, Mayflower Housing, Family Action, Boston Children’s Centre and Boston United in the Community, took place until about 3pm today and will open again at 10am tomorrow.
It features around 25 tonnes of sand for youngsters to play in as well as donkey rides, a traditional Punch and Judy show, beach games, competitions, Transported Arts crafts and performances and more.
The video above shows some of what’s been going on as well as Boston Borough Council activity officer Fran Taylor and Boston Big Local residents partnership chair Richard Tory giving their view on how the day has gone.
Mrs Taylor said that at one point she counted more than 500 visitors to the park.
