Members of Boston’s Walking the Way to Health walking groups recently quickened their pace from walking to dancing and held a ceilidh evening in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Folk music, morris dancing and ceilidh dancing were enjoyed by more than 120 who attended.
Musicians, dancers and performers were gathered together by Liz Stopper to provide an evening of entertainment and £883 was raised.
Frances Taylor, Boston’s walk co-ordinator, said: “To have such a fun-packed evening and raise this wonderful amount of money is brilliant.
“We have members from our walking groups who are being supported by Macmillan nurses so the money raised will see that vital support continue.
“The evening was brilliant and I thank Liz for her efforts in bringing all of the performers together to make the evening such a success.”
