Hide AdTony Eaton, regional co-ordinator at Help for Heroes, said: “So many cakes, buns, jams and biscuits were baked and donated.”
“They all sold very quick- so it’s a good job we had loads more cakes brought in throughout the day by the very generous Bassetlaw public.”
“Of course, one of the highlights of the day was having the World War Two veteran Ken Beard on board, along with his partner Edna, who attended to help us sell the cakes.”
“The public loved talking to one of our World War Two heroes about his experiences.”
