Worksop: Ryton Park pupils don party clothes for a good cause at school’s Dress up and Dance day
The event, which was held at the school on 27th June, saw enthusiastic pupils and staff alike dancing along to an array of chart hits wearing their colourful best.
Claire Campbell, of the school’s Family Support Team, said: “The idea came when a parent saw an advertisement from Macmillan Cancer who wanted to get the country dancing in order to raise funds for the charity.”

“Alex and her team, the Ryton Park Dance Crew, put together some great routines and teaching staff, kitchen staff and admin staff all joined in.”
“We have had to split the Dress up and Dance Days over two weeks because we are such a big school, so the first one was for the 3-7 year olds.”
“On the 4th July, the key stage 2 children, aged 8-11 year old, will also be taking part and are very excited.”
“It was a fantastic day the children and staff loved it. In total, we raised £152.00 for Macmillan cancer. It was a perfect end to the week,” she added.
