Young people take to safer waters

YOUNG people in Boston are being offered a water safety session to raise awareness of the dangers of river swimming.

The Neighbourhood Policing Team has joined forces with the Geoff Moulder Leisure Complex to offer the session at the pool on Saturday, June 25, at 11am.

Pcso Naomi Newell said: “The aim of this session is to educate young people about the dangers and hazards involved with swimming in rivers and quarries and to help them understand just how easily they can get into difficulties.”

The session is open to people aged between nine-15 and everyone who attends will receive free swimming vouchers.
