SINCE our branch formation in Boston in October 2009, the numbers of the Royal Anglian Regimental Association have grown substantially.
They include servicemen from the local area and men who have served with or on attachment. Many are unable to attend our meetings and as postal members, remain eligible for the privileges accorded to all members.
One of our main aims is to keep old comrades in touch and to maintain that air of comradeship.
Forthcoming events include a Grimsby reunion where members from our area will be enjoying the hospitality of the Grimsby branch, a car boot sale in Boston, an organised night out at Peterborough Greyhound Stadium, an AGM complete with buffet and entertainment, Armed Forces Day celebrations, Regimental open day at Duxford and assistance to members who would like to attend related events throughout the country.
In association with SSAFA Forces Help, we are well placed to offer welfare assistance to anyone in need, who has served or been associated with the armed forces.
We meet regularly at the Conservative Club, Main Ridge, Boston (no political affiliation is necessary).
There are no subscription fees. Anyone who is interested should contact Colin Briggs on 01205 760086 or Trevor Clark on 01205 361691.
Details of meetings and events are published each month in a newsletter which is free to all members.
