Letter: Christmas cheer will bring tourists

ONCE again Boston Borough Council has surpassed itself.

Even Lincolnshire County Council gives me the impression it would love Boston to be swallowed by the sea, but our own council does not even care enough about their residents in this time of austerity to give them a bit of Christmas cheer.

We have Christmas lights, but how old are they? They are tatty beyond belief.

We did not have any celebratory switching on, no carols around a tree.Just an electrician throwing a switch, how mean.

No wonder BBC Lincolnshire had a field day.

We need the tourists and we need outside investment, and very importantly investment in our residents. If our council doesn’t care enough about Boston why should anybody else?

They should be leading from the front not skulking in the council offices.
