LETTER: My Remembrance poem

Remembrance, by Janet Flynn...

The memories they have never fade will stay with them till the day they die

Often they think of their fallen comrades who were too young and wonder why

So today they ask you to give two minutes of your time

Just stand quietly in a line

Think of the sacrifices they were brave enough to make

Would you or I do it for heavens sake?

In memory of the ones who didn’t make it back

Knew what the cost would be, but no courage did they lack

So join the veterans at your local war memorial

Give respect to them and those who did fall

Also for the ones who continue to fight today

For the price they are willing to pay
