Question for the chairman

I HAVE a question for Paul Richardson, chairman of United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust: What assurances can you give the people of Boston, and Lincolnshire in general, and the staff at Pilgrim Hospital, that the independent non-executive directors of the trust are effectively scrutinising the decisions of the executive directors and offering advice on how to solve the problems at Pilgrim Hospital, which may have wider county application?

As someone who has over the years had three successful operations at the Pilgrim, and who went for a check-up recently having to wait for a considerable time to complete my appointment because staff were so busy (receiving an apology without even asking for one), I have in the main only praise for the staff at Pilgrim Hospital.

Please through your good offices will you try to obtain a reply to my question which should be of concern to the people of Lincolnshire?
