Terry Cox and Tony Parkin won the blind draw pairs event as part of the William Hill Skegness Darts League.

Friday’s event saw 28 entries from the Sid Dennis and Sons Ltd Division One, but not one player from runaway leaders Arctic Shrew Monkeys.

Some good looking pairings saw Chris Fletcher and Mark Gray, Eric Hammond and Anthony Hulley and Tony Holland and Lee Woods all with hopes of winning.

But they were all swept away, despite Holland checking out on 151, as the finalists were Liberal’s Cox and partner Parkin (Seaview Oak) taking on Kev Barker (Seaview Oak) and Ex Service Cobras’ Darrell Webb.

It was a cracking final which swung one way then the other, but Cox checked out on 96 to win the match.

Ex Service C had an 8-4 win over the Chatsworth Hotel in Division Two.

WMC Aces played host to Cricket Club, and a shock looked on the cards as the away side raced into a 4-2 lead after the singles.

They looked even more likely to succeed after they won the first pairs, but the Aces fought back strongly and won the last two to scrape a 6-6 draw.

Paul Lucas (121, 2x140) was the night’s high scorer for the Cricket Club.

Another close tussle took place at the Vine, as they took on Liberal Us.

The Liberal took a surprise 4-2 lead, helped by Matt Reeson (123, 140), but the game of the night was between H. Reeves (130, 124 finish) and Liberals’ S. Duckworth (116 finish).

Matt Reeson, and Stu Giles then won the first pairs to lead 6-2, only to see the Vine force an unlikley draw
