Freiston, Leake and Leverton began their warm-up matches with an eight wicket victory at Graves Park.

Ollie Booth took five top order wickets as the hosts posted 129-8, before Freiston responded with 124-2.

Bowling first, Freiston began well with Taimur Mian and Tommy Atkinson beating the bat.

But it wasn’t until the introduction of Booth that wickets began to fall.

The tall paceman clean bowled the defiant Sam Holland for five, before Jack Ashton edged behind without scoring.

Wicket Keeper Zeeshan Saeed caught Ben Brinkley for nine before Booth clean bowled the dangerous Liam Maskell.

Booth completed his haul thanks to an impressive catch in the gully from Connor Goodfellow.

Chris King top scored for the Park with 39 but he was caught by John Goodfellow off the bowling of Ashok Kumar.

Steffen Cook (30 not out) and James Luto (14 not out) added a frustrating 43 for the ninth wicket.

Cook struck three sixes in his quick-fire innings, as the pair took the home side to 120 off their 40 overs.

For Freiston, Sunil Panjwani was caught on six and Richard Paul made 17 before being trapped LBW by Martin Hodgson.

However, Zeeshan Saeed (49 not out) and Stewart Kirtley (43 not out) added an unbeaten 86 to take Freiston to a comfortable victory.

The partnership included four sixes and 12 fours as both Saeed and Kirtley batted in a very positive manner.

Freiston needed less than half of their forty overs to complete the victory.
