Boston CC are looking for their third straight Lincs ECB Premier win on Saturday, as they host Woodhall Spa.

Woodhall sit one place and five points ahead of Boston.

Boston will be looking for a third consecutive win as Woodhall Spa look to bounce back from a heavy defeat to Grantham.

Boston captain Tom Baxter said: “We’ve picked up 38 points in two weeks and that has really tightened the middle few teams in this league up.”

Boston know a victory will take them above their opponents, yet Baxter believes that is not on their minds.

“We have four games left and 80 points up for grabs,” he added.

“All of our focus is ensuring that we put together four good performances.

“If we perform near our maximum then we will do well.”

Boston’s four remaining games see them host Woodhall and Market Deeping, accompanied by trips to Nettleham and Louth.

Woodhall Spa and Louth are in the mix in the middle of the table and Nettleham sit bottom of the league, and Boston will be hoping to prove their qualities against them.

Baxter added: “Of course, we would like to pick up 80 points from our last four but that is going to be very difficult.

“We could still finish anywhere from sixth to 12th so it is important that we continue to perform as we have done in the past two weeks.”

Boston will be without the injured Dave Newman, who continues to recover from a recurring back injury, but there is a chance that Baxter could return.
