Tom Baxter believes Boston CC can take nothing for granted when they face Sleaford Seconds on Saturday.
Boston, unbeaten and second in the South Lincs and Border League Premier Division, host third-placed Sleaford at the Mayflower this weekend.
But Baxter believes their rivals, who have won two of their three contests, will be a tough test.
“I think on paper, Sleaford have one of the strongest sides in the competition,” the captain said.
“They have a good mix of experience that have done it for years and youngsters that are striving to get in the First XI.”
Boston hope that Saihan Azim will have recovered from his knee injury in time to feature, and add additional support to the club’s in-form batsmen.
Dave Newman (pictured) hit 128 runs in Saturday’s victory over Bourne, with Baxter chipping in with an unbeaten 96.
“We will be focusing on playing the best cricket we can,” Baxter stressed.
We’re in good form, but that counts for nothing come Saturday when we need to start again.”
