Boston Cricket Club Seconds were beaten by 38 runs when they hosted Spalding Seconds on Saturday.

The home side won the toss and elected to bowl.

However, openers Mike Kearns snr (51) and Chris Dring (20) began well.

Spalding reached a total of 169-9 when their 45 overs were complete.

Wickets fell to Ben Troops (3-34), Michael Troops (3-35), Abdul Moeed (2-40) and Callum McNulty (1-25).

With the bat, Boston posted 131 before being dismissed in the 44th over.

Charlie Roberts top scored with 22.

Other good scores came from Rowan Evans (21), Michael Troops (17), Paul Tetther (14), Moeed (12), William Tetther (12) and Sean Barnett (11).

Boston Sunday Firsts earned a one-wicket victory against Lindum in the Lincoln and District League Premier Division.

Lindum posted 243-9 with Simon Bray scoring 128.

Wickets were taken by Luke Gilding (3-24), Tom Baxter (2-18), Scott Elleray (2-30), Ben Troops (1-20) and Ian Morris (1-46).

Boston snatched victory with one ball remaining to record 246-9.

Kieran Evans top scored with an unbeaten 74.

Openers Jonny Cheer (41) and Luke Gilding (37) set the ball rolling, while other good scores came from Rowan Evans (24), Peter Mitchell (20) and Tom Baxter (15).
