Boston Cricket Club’s Sunday Seconds entertained Hartsholme Seconds at the Mayflower - claiming a 43-run victory.
The hosts lost the toss and were put into bat, where openers Callum McNulty and Damian Lawson put on 24 before McNulty was bowled for 16.
Lawson was then trapped LBW for 27 , which brought John Morris to the crease to join Sam Holland.
The run-rate increased but, with the score on 149, Morris was bowled for 46 off 34 balls.
Holland brought up his 50 soon after, eventually being dismissed for 65 .
David Robinson added 44 runs as Boston finished their innings on 239-7.
Hartsholme’s response began with all guns blazing, but with the score on 75 Ian Morris had S. Boothright caught by Raj Bains with an excellent one-handed diving catch.
John Morris picked the next wicket up on 116.
With 12 overs left and Hartsholme on 140-2, the introduction of Wills Barker saw the runs dry up.
Barker took three wickets and Nick Thurlby added two more as the away side finished on 196-7.
Cherry Willingham (188-5) defeated Boston’s Sunday Firsts (171) by 17 runs and Boston Thirds (185) were beaten by Spalding Thirds (186-7) by three wickets this weekend.
