Boston Cricket Club’s First XI will make the trip to basement side Nettleham on Saturday - going in search of the points that could help ensure their Lincs ECB Premier saftey.
The Mayflower men will still be without Dave Newman due to his ongoing injury and Tim Bell will be struggling to recover from his bad back, so Boston could be unchanged from Saturday’s side which were narrowly pipped by Woodhall Spa.
“It is certainly a game that we will want to win, but not because they are bottom,” captain Tom Baxter said.
“We want to beat them as we want to end this season well.”
In the return fixture, Boston managed to pick up 20 points, but is was not all plain sailing.
It was a very close game that could have gone either way and it was the final over which saw five wickets fall and Boston take the full amount of points.
“Where we finish in the league now is not our main concern,” Baxter added.
“If we perform in our three games then it is all we can ask for.
“If we perform we are still relying on people abiove us to drop points or slip up.
“We have three games remaining and 60 points up for grabs and we want to take as many as possible from that.”
