Horncastle CC’s Sunday team were involved in a thrilling game against Reepham at Coronation Walk, snatching victory in the last over.

Reepham batted first and put up 115-9 from their 40 overs, wickets shared around between Nathan Whiting, Richard Hickling, Tom Hackett, Joseph Flint and Jack Thompson.

Chasing 116 to win, Horncastle were reduced to 21-6 and then 40-8, but an unbeaten partnership of 79 between Whiting (44*) and Hickling (31*) saw Horncastle home by two wickets with just four balls remaining, to claim all 20 points.

Woodhall Spa CC ended their Lincs ECB Premier campaign with a five-wicket defeat against Scunthorpe Town.

Scunthorpe bowled Woodhall Spa out for 116, Oliver Caswell (27) and Tom Caswell (22) top scoring.

The visitors then struggled to 49 for five but reached 117-5 to claim their nsecond win of the campaign.
