Tom Baxter is backing his Boston CC First XI to bounce back after Saturday’s defeat at Bourne.
After eight straight victories, the Mayflower men suffered a 13-run loss at Abbey Lawn.
But captain Baxter believes that losing feeling will only inspire his side to victory once more.
“Our changing room wasn’t a nice place to be after the game and that is something that will only help us come back next week,” he said.
“It is easy to overreact after a loss, but we will have a sit down and plan how we can try to make sure this doesn’t happen again.
“I have spoken to the lads and left it at that. Saturday will be forgotten about and we will start again at practice on Wednesday.”
Boston host Sleaford - who have won three from nine - in the South Lincs and Border League Premier Division on Saturday.
They will be without Elliot Pogson, although Saihan Azim (pictured) is expected to return to the First XI.
“Everyone in the First team are good enough cricketers to know where they went wrong,” Baxter added.
“I harp on about fielding, but fielding is the most important aspect of the cricket game.
“You can really apply pressure in the field and that is something we didn’t do.”
Boston are currently second in the standings.
They sit 17 points behind Stamford Town, who have played an extra match.
