Evolution fighters claim medal haul

Kickboxers and mixed martial artists from Boston’s Evolution club have claimed a haul of 22 medals.

The team entered a number of fighters into the Peterborough Championship Series last Sunday.

For many of the fighters, this was their first or second taste of tournament action.

However, the kickboxers didn’t show any nerves as they returned to Boston with 10 golds, three silvers and four bronzes.

The team also won five runners-up medals as well.

Nesta Baxter is one of the club’s more seasoned fighters, and she claimed three golds.Ambie Brocklesby has, like Baxter, took part in international competitions as part of the Great Britain squad, and he also claimed three golds.

Mikolja Bura won gold in his first ever MMA fight and Harley Butterfield claimed two golds and a third.

Mackenzie Warrant won a gold and a runner-up medal while Jack Dickinson won silver and Chelsea Leggatt also won silver.

Zac Baldry claimed a bronze, Chloe Mallett also earned a bronze, and Vicki Bradford won silver and bronze.

Tyler Hilham was a double runner-up while others also finishing as runners-up were Jak Johnson, Liam Farr and Pascal Lee.
