Boston Cricket Club Firsts will face the biggest match of their South Lincs and Border League Premier Division season on Saturday.
The Mayflower men will travel to face second-placed Sleaford Seconds.
Tom Baxter’s side have a 29-point advantage, but the hosts will have a game in hand.
“Our main focus will be looking after ourselves,” captain Baxter (pictured) said.
“We will need to bowl well, field well and bat well if we are to beat a very impressive Sleaford side.”
Boston will still be missing the vital pairing of Dave Newman and Ben Vella, but can still put out the same side which beat fourth-placed Bourne on Saturday.
“We may be unchanged from Saturday, that would be the ideal option but we will have to see on availability,” the captain added.
“Saturday will prove how much we want to win the league.
“If you can’t get yourself pumped up to do well against your closest rivals then you’ll never get pumped up.”
Boston recorded a six-wicket victory over Sleaford when the two sides met at the Mayflower in May.
Victory could see Boston take a big step towards promotion, but a draw would give Sleaford hope of a fightback.
