Angel set for Nirvana clash

Mark Angel believes table-toppers Leicester Nirvana are just the opposition to help Boston Town get back to winning ways.

The Poachers dropped to 11th in the UCL Premier following Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at second-placed Kirby Muxloe, which followed on from the 3-1 midweek reverse at Peterborough Northern Star.

But as Town prepare to host Nirvana at the DWB Stadium on Saturday (KO 3pm), Angel refuses to be downbeat or fearful.

“We’ve been playing well, but sometimes things just don’t go your way,” the manager said.

“We’ve been creating chances. Sometimes you just need a bit of luck to turn things around.

“I’m hoping we can get that on Saturday.

“Sometimes playing the top-of-the-league team gives you that bit extra.”

Daniel Agar settled Saturday’s contest in just the second minute while Alex Beck had given Boston the lead against PNS in midweek, only for Christian Le, Craig Smith and Jacob Joyce to turn things around.

Town will travel to face Harrowby United next Wednesday (KO 7.45pm).

The Poachers’ abandoned league cup tie against Stewarts & Lloyds Corby has been rearranged for November 7.
