Boston Town boss Nathan Collins has hailed his ‘bonus signings’.
This morning the Poachers revealed that they had snapped up two additional midfielders - Callum Walker and James Petronzio.
Walker, 19, is a Skegness-based youngster who has previously played for Collins within Grimsby Town’s youth set-up while Petronzio, 22, has played for Grimsby Borough.
“They’re bonus signings really,” Collins told The Standard. “We more or less had the squad we wanted, but then these two became available.
“Callum was trying to move away and play in Spain so I didn’t really pursue him. But he became available, trained with us and really enjoyed it.
“James is a player I’ve always liked. He’s been injured but I know he’s a decent player who will be good for us.”
Town now have a 20-strong squad and they will begin their pre-season warm-up fixtures on Saturday as they host P&P Plumbing.
